Marc Greenberg

Professor Marc Greenberg is a distinguished faculty member at Golden Gate University School of Law, where he serves as Professor of Law and Founding Director of the IP Law Program. With over two decades of teaching experience since joining the faculty in 2000, he instructs courses in Business Associations, Civil Procedure, Entertainment Law, Intellectual Property Law Survey, Legal Methods, Professional Responsibility, and the Business of Solo & Small Firm Law Practice. His career bridges academia and legal practice, with 20 years as a practicing attorney before transitioning to full-time teaching.

Professor Greenberg's educational background includes a JD from University of California Hastings College of Law and an AB from University of California, Berkeley. His professional experience extends beyond GGU, having served as a Visiting Professor at William Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada – Las Vegas (2013) and University of California, Hastings College of the Law (2009-2010).

His research interests focus on Intellectual Property Law with particular expertise in Copyright, Trademark, Entertainment Law, High Technology and Internet law, Law and Society, Legal Ethics, and Solo and Small Firm Practice. Professor Greenberg has established himself as a leading voice in IP law through his publications, conference presentations, and professional engagements, frequently lecturing for organizations including the American Bar Association, San Francisco IP Law Association, and Comic Arts Conference.

He is also the creator and writer of "Greenberg's IP Buzz Blog" and directs the Intellectual Property Law Center at GGU.
