Marc Buffat

Marc Buffat is a researcher at the Laboratory of Fluid Mechanics and Acoustics (LMFA - UMR 5509), affiliated with Ecole Centrale de Lyon. He is a member of the Turbulence & Instabilités research team, which focuses on fundamental research in fluid dynamics.

His research interests include:

• Fluid Mechanics

• Flow instability phenomena
• Geophysical and astrophysical fluid dynamics
• Numerical simulation techniques

The Turbulence & Instabilités team conducts research across multiple domains including geophysical flows, microfluidics, MHD, and particle transport, with applications spanning from industrial processes to environmental systems.

Marc Buffat contributes to the laboratory's mission of advancing fluid mechanics research through both theoretical and computational approaches, working within a collaborative environment of over 220 researchers across three sites in Lyon.
