Marc Bonten is a Full Professor of Molecular Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases at the University Medical Center Utrecht, Netherlands. He leads the Infectious Disease Epidemiology research group within the Julius Center of Health Sciences and Primary Care. He holds dual roles as former Head of the Department of Medical Microbiology (2008-2021) and continues as a principal investigator in large-scale epidemiological studies and clinical trials.
