معرفی
Marc Anderson is an Associate Professor at San Francisco State University since 2007. He holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of California at Santa Cruz (2001) and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder (1995). His research focuses on organic synthesis as a tool for designing small molecule modulators of therapeutically relevant protein targets.
- Education:
- B.S. (1995) University of Colorado at Boulder, Computer Science
- Ph.D. (2001) University of California at Santa Cruz, Organic Chemistry
Research Interests: The Anderson group specializes in organic and medicinal chemistry, targeting anion channel proteins like TMEM16A, UT-A, CFTR, and SLC26A transporters. Their work involves multi-step heterocyclic synthesis (coumarins, benzofurans, triazolo-thieno-pyrimidones), structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies, and development of synthetic methods. Functional cell-based assays are used to evaluate pharmacological potency.
