Marc Andernach serves as Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for Product Design at the University of the West of England, based in the Department of Architecture and the Built Environment within the Faculty of Environment and Technology. He joined UWE Bristol in 2018 after a distinguished career in automotive design, including roles at Jaguar Land Rover and Mercedes Benz Advanced Design Studio.
His educational background includes a MATD and MA in Transportation Design from the Faculty for Design in Pforzheim, Germany. Industry experience encompasses lead design roles in Kia Motors-funded projects, Mercedes Benz research collaborations at Stuttgart's Institute for Computational Design, and advanced design work on Range Rover Velar (L560) and Range Rover 2022 (L460) production vehicles at Jaguar Land Rover.
His research expertise spans Transportation Design, Automotive Design, Industrial Design, Strategy Design, Advanced Design, Concept Art, and Graphic Design, with additional specialization in Market Research, Branding, and Design Thinking. This industry-academia fusion drives his pedagogical approach in automotive and product design education.
