Maral Asiaee

Maral Asiaee is a Research Fellow at the Faculty of English, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poland. She holds a PhD in Linguistics (2020) from Alzahra University, Iran, and has previously studied at Shiraz University (BA, 2007) and Alzahra University (MA, 2012).

• Research Interests: Experimental phonetics, forensic phonetics, voice quality, speech perception, neurolinguistics, and bilingual speech analysis.
• Key Projects: Research on acoustic analysis of bilingual Persian-English speakers, AI-based screening tools for COVID-19, and forensic speaker recognition studies.
• Scientific Recognition: Recipient of the Tehrani Moghaddam Project award (2021) and research scholarships from Iran’s Ministry of Science (2017). Twice honored for Best Secretary of Alzahra University’s Scientific-Student Association (2015, 2017).
• Conference Contributions: Active participant and organizer at international events like ICLPP and IAFPA, with presentations on topics spanning voice disguise detection, bilingual speech rhythms, and medical speech analysis.
