Mara Hauck

Mara Hauck is an Assistant Professor (part-time) in the Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences department at Eindhoven University of Technology, with parallel responsibilities as Senior Researcher at TNO. Her research develops integrative methodologies combining prospective life cycle assessment (LCA) with socio-technical transition studies to evaluate environmental impacts of emerging energy technologies. Current projects focus on North Sea Energy systems integration and photovoltaic applications.

Her scholarly program is structured across three interconnected domains: systemic accelerated transitions modeling, circular economy inventory analysis, and environmental impact assessment frameworks. Hauck's work emphasizes technology-environment interdependencies, particularly in renewable energy systems where she examines trade-offs between technological innovation and ecological consequences.

Prior appointments include research positions at EIFER (European Institute for Energy Research) and Radboud University, building on doctoral work in environmental exposure modeling of persistent organic pollutants. She currently supervises multiple PhD candidates investigating sustainable technology pathways.
