María Inmaculada Almansa Frías

María Inmaculada Almansa Frías is a Contracted Doctorate Professor and Private University Professor accredited by ANECA at CEU Cardenal Herrera University. She serves as Director of the Department of Biomedical Sciences within the Faculty of Health Sciences since October 2024, and has been a Collaborating Doctorate Professor since 2011. Her teaching career spans roles in Pharmacy, Nursing, and Physiotherapy degrees.

Her research focuses on neurodegeneration and neuroprotection, with affiliations at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and the Molecular Biotechnology Center in Turin during predoctoral stays. She holds three six-year research positions and has received teaching recognition through the Ángel Herrera Award.

Management roles include coordinating the Nursing Degree program from 2020/21 to 2024/25 and directing the Department of Biomedical Sciences. Her work integrates biomedical research with multidisciplinary teaching across health sciences disciplines.
