Francisco Bosch Morell

Francisco Bosch Morell is a Professor at Universidad Cardenal Herrera-CEU (UCH-CEU), where he serves as Vice-Rector of Faculty and Strategic Planning and Director of the CEU Institute of Biomedical Sciences. He holds appointments in the Department of Physiology, Pharmacology and Toxicology within the Faculty of Health Sciences.

Education:
Licentiate in Pharmacy (1992) and Doctorate in Pharmacy (1996) from the University of Valencia, awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize.

Research Focus:
His work explores neurodegeneration and neuroprotection mechanisms, emphasizing oxidative stress in ocular diseases and diabetic complications. Key areas include retinal pathophysiology, antioxidant therapies, and experimental models of diabetes.

Awards:

• Ángel Herrera Prize for teaching excellence (2004, 2013, 2016)
• 5 CNEAI research productivity awards (1993-2023)
• ANECA accreditation as Full Professor (2012)

Leadership & Grants:
Directed 15 PhD theses and secured competitive funding including Spanish Health Ministry (FIS) projects and Valencian Regional Government grants. Administrative roles include: Department Director (2002-2007), Dean of Health Sciences (2008-2009), and Academic Vice-Rector (2009-2013). Currently coordinates the Master in Clinical Trials Monitoring.
