Prof. Dr. med. Manuela Funke-Chambour serves as Chief Physician at the University Clinic for Pulmonology, Department for Pulmonary Medicine, Inselspital (Bern University Hospital) since January 1, 2022. She is affiliated with the University of Bern's Faculty of Medicine and leads clinical operations across multiple specialized consultation services including ILD, CF, pulmonary hypertension, severe asthma, and pulmonary infections.
Her research focuses on critical areas of respiratory medicine including tuberculosis treatment challenges in Europe, pulmonary fibrosis rehabilitation outcomes, and the relationship between systemic sclerosis and pulmonary complications.
