Dr. Manuela Filippa is a researcher at the University of Geneva and Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), collaborating with Professors Petra Hüppi and Didier Grandjean. She holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Paris Ouest Nanterre and has conducted postdoctoral research at Paris Descartes University, the University of Valle d'Aosta, and HUG. Her work focuses on maternal voice effects on preterm infants, music psychopedagogy, and early childhood development. She teaches Psychology of Music at the University of Valle d'Aosta and has authored popular science books including Sounds Drops (2014) and Early Vocal Contact and Preterm infants brain development (2017).
