Manuel Soque, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Wittenberg University since 2022. His research focuses on comparative politics of developing countries, particularly sub-Saharan Africa, examining authoritarian resilience through co-optation, repression, and service provision. He explores parallel institutions, civil society in authoritarian contexts, and pandemic policies' impact on authoritarian regimes.
Education: B.A. in Languages, Literature, and Administration from Catholic University of Angola (2007), M.A. in Public Administration from Western Michigan University (2012), and Ph.D. in Political Science from Western Michigan University (2022).
