Manuel Serapio

Manuel Serapio is an Associate Professor and Discipline Director at the CU Denver Business School, specializing in International Business and Entrepreneurship. He holds a PhD in International Business from University of Illinois, MBA from University of Hawaii, and BA in Economics from Ateneo de Manila University.

His research focuses on global R&D networks, international outsourcing, FDIs, and leadership development. Key contributions include studies on IT outsourcing trends in Colorado, global R&D integration, and Asian economic dynamics. He has presented at major forums like the Governor’s Technology Summit and Stanford University’s Globalization of Services conference.

Dr. Serapio has received over $2.5M in CIBER grants and authored seminal works on international alliances and emerging markets. He was honored with the Outstanding Teacher Award (1991) and Top Lecturer Award (1988), reflecting his dedication to pedagogy.

His advisory work includes roles with the Japan-U.S. Friendship Commission, US Department of Commerce, and APEC Secretariat. He maintains affiliations with the Academy of International Business and Japan America Society of Colorado.
