Manuel Maria Sevilla Muñoz

Manuel Maria Sevilla Muñoz is a Professor in the Department of Translation and Interpreting at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Murcia. He holds a PhD from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2002) on the didactics of scientific-technical translation for humanities students. His research focuses on phraseology, paremiology, and their application in translation studies, particularly in historical fiction and literary texts. He has published extensively on translation pedagogy, including studies on flipped classrooms, ICT integration, and collaborative learning methodologies. His work analyzes phraseological units' role in textual contextualization and their translation challenges across languages like Spanish, English, and French. He has collaborated with institutions like the Paremia journal and co-authored studies on proverbial competence and digital tools in translation education.
