Manuel Llinás is the Ernest C. Pollard Professor in Biotechnology and Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Chemistry at The Pennsylvania State University. His research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of gene regulation and metabolism in the malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum using functional genomics and metabolomics. Key areas include transcriptional regulation via ApiAP2 proteins and Plasmodium metabolomics to identify drug targets.
