Prof. Manon Parry is an historian of medicine and exhibition curator, holding dual roles as Endowed Professor of Medical History at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Associate Professor of American Studies and Public History at Universiteit van Amsterdam. Her research focuses on health communication, medical museums, and the intersection of humanities with healthcare. She leads the MA History: Medical and Health Humanities program at VU and directs the PULSE Network for Health Humanities. Parry co-edited Women Physicians and the Culture of Medicine (2008), which won a 2012 publication award. She has curated over 300 global exhibitions on topics like disability, drug use, and public health, supported by grants such as the €315,000 VENI award. She advises the WHO’s Technical Advisory Group on Behavioral and Cultural Insights.
