Manon Diederich, MA, is a Lecturer at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Cologne since 2013. Her research focuses on migration and mobility, gender, feminism, and intersectionality, with regional expertise in Senegal and China. She is part of the doctoral network Gender and Queer at the University of Cologne and the Chinese in Africa/Africans in China Research Network (CA/AC Research Network).
- Education: Master of Arts in Geography (2013, University of Cologne), with a thesis on transnational experiences of African women in Guangzhou, China.
- Research Projects: PhD project on Senegalese migrants in Guangzhou, and collaborative work on Gambian migrants' experiences in Asia (Uturn-Asia).
