Manoj Puthia is an Associate Professor at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology, Lund University. His research focuses on wound healing, inflammation, and host-pathogen interactions, with emphasis on peptidomics, bacterial colonization, and therapeutic development. He works within the Schmidtchen Lab and manages the IVIS In Vivo Imaging System infrastructure.
Research Interests:
- Host defense mechanisms against bacterial infections
- Peptidomic analysis of wound proteolytic signatures
- Development of bioactive materials for infection control
- Role of apolipoproteins and thrombin fragments in inflammation
- Non-invasive wound evaluation methods
- Tuberculosis pathogenesis and peptide-based therapies
Projects: Active in translational wound healing studies focusing on microbes, inflammation, and non-invasive wound evaluation since 2022.
