Manfred Jücker

Manfred Jücker is a Professor at the Institute of Biochemistry and Signal Transduction within the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). His research focuses on phosphoinositide signaling pathways, particularly the PI3K/AKT/mTOR network, and their roles in cancer progression and leukemia pathogenesis. Jücker investigates how Akt isoforms differentially regulate metastasis, drug resistance, and cell survival in tumors like hepatocellular carcinoma, breast cancer, and colorectal cancer.
