Manal El Khalfaoui is an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, and a Ph.D. candidate in French with a minor in Linguistics. Her research focuses on postcolonial literature, specifically the Harki community's narratives under French colonial and post-colonial contexts. She employs critical theories from Foucault, Agamben, and Mbembe to analyze power dynamics, historical erasure, and state violence.
