Malte Wilms serves as a Research Fellow in the Department of Urban Design at Leibniz University Hannover's Faculty of Architecture and Landscape, working under Prof. Andreas Quednau since 2022.
His academic qualifications include:
- Master of Architecture with distinction from Berlin University of the Arts (studied under Jean-Philippe Vassal)
- Studies at Münster School of Architecture and as a guest student at University of Applied Arts Vienna (Kazuyo Sejima's studio) and Düsseldorf Art Academy
His research critically examines Oswalt Matthias Ungers' Green Archipelago concept through contemporary urban restrictions and frames housing as political infrastructure, with strong emphasis on sustainable architectural solutions evidenced by his zero-energy design competition victory.
