Mallory McLaughlin is an Assistant Professor at the Illinois College of Optometry and an attending optometrist at the Chicago Lighthouse. She specializes in glaucoma treatment, cataract surgery co-management, low vision rehabilitation, and patient communication. She coordinates the Practice Management Education curriculum and teaches Visual and Physical Optics courses. Dr. McLaughlin holds a BSc in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago (2012), graduated Summa Cum Laude from ICO (2016), and completed an ocular disease/low vision residency at Jesse Brown and Hines VAMC (2017).

Her clinical work focuses on aging-related vision conditions at the Rosenbloom Center for Vision and Aging and the Primary Care Glaucoma Unit. She balances clinical practice with advocacy for patient-centered care and optometric education.
Awards include the William Feinbloom Low Vision Award and multiple honors societies. She volunteers with VOSH and pursues international solo travel and dog rescue outside work.
