Malin Flodström Tullberg is a Professor of Type 1 Diabetes at the Department of Medicine, Huddinge, Karolinska Institutet. She leads a research group focused on understanding the etiology and pathogenesis of type 1 diabetes, with a particular emphasis on the role of enteroviruses, innate immunity, and pancreatic beta cell damage. Her work includes vaccine development, biomarker discovery, and studies on cystic fibrosis-related diabetes.
