Malin Arvidsson is a Senior Lecturer in Human Rights Studies at the Department of History, Lund University, under the Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology. Her research focuses on historiography, memory studies, and historical justice, particularly state redress for past injustices.
Her key research areas include reparations politics, truth commissions, and political apologies, with a regional focus on Sweden and the Nordic context. She is involved in interdisciplinary projects like "Truth and Reconciliation in the Nordic countries" (TRiNC) funded by the Danish Research Council and contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
Her publications span book chapters, peer-reviewed articles, and monographs, addressing topics such as women's suffrage, public infrastructure for gender equality, and progressive religious movements. She teaches courses like MRSG11 (Introduction to Human Rights Studies) and MRSM12 (Human Rights in the Global World: Agents, Indicators, and Institutions).
