Makridis Pavlos

Makridis Pavlos is an Associate Professor at the Department of Animal Biology, University of Patras. He specializes in aquaculture with focus on fish larval cultures, zooplankton dynamics, and probiotic applications.

• Education: MSc in Zoology (1994) from University of Trondheim; PhD in Aquaculture (2000) from Norwegian University of Science and Technology

His research explores microbial ecology in aquaculture systems, nutritional strategies for larval fish, and phytoplankton-based solutions for carbon dioxide reduction and biodiesel production. Recent publications highlight advancements in probiotic bacteria applications, algal harvesting methods, and transcriptomic studies of marine species.
