Makoto Nishimura

Makoto Nishimura, MD is an Associate Physician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center specializing in gastroenterology with expertise in minimally invasive endoscopic techniques for gastrointestinal cancers. He has performed over 950 endoscopic submucosal dissections (ESD), a technique developed in his native Japan.

His research focuses on:

• Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) applications for pancreatobiliary cancers
