Maji Christine Rhee is a Professor at Waseda University's Faculty of International Research and Education, School of International Liberal Studies. She holds a Doctor of Laws degree in Tax Law and maintains affiliations with the Center for International Education, Graduate School of International Culture and Communication Studies, and Global Education Center.
Her research spans multiple interdisciplinary fields including:

Professor Rhee's research focuses on international transfer pricing taxation law with particular attention to the oil and gas industry in Japan and Korea, examining how carbon taxation and climate change policies impact transfer pricing strategies. Her work on Japan-Korea relations analyzes media representations and public perceptions through alterity theory, while her historical research explores women's education development in colonial contexts. She has also investigated legal procedures in tax litigation systems.
Her publications include research presented at the Comparative International Governmental Accounting Research Conference, Yonsei University, and the International Conference on Innovation in and Management, with findings published in the Waseda Global Forum.
