Majella Clancy is a Lecturer in Fine Art (Painting) at the Belfast School of Art, Ulster University. Her work bridges practice-led research, teaching, and curatorial activities, focusing on intersections of painting, printmaking, gender, and materiality.

Clancy’s research interrogates gendered space, materiality in painting, and collaborative practices. She has exhibited internationally, including at the Impact 11 International Printmaking Conference (Hong Kong, 2021) and Munsterland Print Festival (Germany, 2019).
Her recent publications include explorations of painting pedagogy and collaborative methodologies, while her 2025 exhibition Matter Out of Place examines selfhood through materiality.

Clancy supervises PhD researchers, including Lauren Anderson Clarke, and contributes to academic networks via roles such as External Examiner for the University of Suffolk and board member at QSS Studios.
