Maja Moro is an Assistant Professor at the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, specializing in Mathematics and Statistics applied to Biotechnical Sciences and Forestry. She holds a Master's in Mathematics and Physics (1999–2003) and has over two decades of academic and professional experience in Croatia and the region.
Her research focuses on statistical applications in forestry, wood technology, and environmental science. Notable areas include fungal pathology in tree species, timber harvesting logistics, and wood industry competitiveness. She has also contributed to studies on forest accessibility, equipment performance (e.g., skidders), and renewable energy potential from wood pellets.
