Mairi Cowan

Mairi Cowan is a Marie Curie Research Fellow in Shellfish Endocrinology at the Scottish Association for Marine Science (University of the Highlands and Islands). Her research examines neuroendocrine systems in fish, focusing on reproductive regulation under environmental variables.

She investigates gonadotropin-inhibitory hormone dynamics and gene expression patterns in species like sea bass and zebrafish. Her work contributes to sustainable aquaculture and marine conservation.
