Previously, she held roles at Goldsmiths, University of London; American University in Cairo; and York University, Canada, with a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University. She earned her PhD from the University of Toronto.
Her research focuses on revolutionary movements' intersection with law, labor, and gender, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa. Key themes include social reproduction theory, colonial legal systems, and feminist critiques of international institutions. Current projects include a co-authored book on anticolonial radio networks (Sonic Lives), a study of liberation movements' impact on international law, and explorations of 'the home' as a site of resistance.
Taha co-directs the Archive Stories project, using creative methods to engage with non-traditional archives. She teaches on LSE's MSc Human Rights program, covering 'Approaches to Human Rights' and 'Patriarchy and Society.'
Her publications span 20+ peer-reviewed articles and chapters, analyzing topics like Palestinian revolutionary law, Egyptian labor movements, and the legacy of Bandung Conference internationalism. Her work bridges Marxist theory, feminist analysis, and postcolonial critique.
