Dr. Mahri Leonard-Fleckman serves as Assistant Professor of Hebrew Bible in the Religious Studies Department at the College of the Holy Cross, a Jesuit liberal arts institution located in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Her scholarly work focuses on the intersection of biblical texts and ancient Near Eastern history, with particular expertise in Hebrew Bible studies, Iron Age archaeology, and identity formation. Dr. Leonard-Fleckman employs historical-critical methods combined with literary analysis to examine biblical narratives, especially concerning political formations and cultural entanglements in ancient Israel.
