Maheen Hasib is an Assistant Professor and Global Programme Director for BSc Data Sciences at Heriot-Watt University's School of Mathematical & Computer Sciences. She holds a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from Queen Mary, University of London, and is a Senior Fellow (Advanced HE). Her research focuses on applying AI in education, healthcare, and cybersecurity, with expertise in datasets development and educational data mining. She leads initiatives promoting diversity in data science through WiDS workshops and mentors students globally.
