Maha Bali is Professor of Practice at American University in Cairo's Center for Learning and Teaching. Her work centers on critical approaches to digital learning, equity in education, and community-centered pedagogy. She co-founded Virtually Connecting (democratizing conference access) and Equity Unbound (global collaborative curriculum).
Her scholarship examines power dynamics in educational technology, decolonizing digital spaces, and designing inclusive online environments. As editor of Hybrid Pedagogy, she promotes practitioner-researcher dialogues.
Recent projects include #SociallyJust Academia (equity frameworks) and collaborative publications on ethical edtech practices during crisis education.
