Magnus Løberg is a Professor and Pro-Dean of Studies at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo. He holds a MD from NTNU (2007) and a PhD from UiO (2015). His research focuses on healthcare interventions, particularly colorectal cancer screening, surveillance of adenoma patients, and medical device efficacy. He spent 2013-2014 as a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard School of Public Health.
Løberg has taught health leadership, health economics, and medical programs since 2015. He led educational initiatives in knowledge management and quality improvement at the Medical School (2016–2019) and became Head of Education at the Institute of Health and Society in 2018. He has spearheaded new academic programs, including UiO’s bachelor’s in health leadership and decentralized medical education. Currently, he leads the Medical Faculty’s education council and evaluates clinical methods at Oslo University Hospital.
His research spans observational study designs, randomized trials, and healthcare policy. Over 40 publications (2025–2022) explore colorectal cancer surveillance, AI in endoscopy, and screening effectiveness. Collaborations include international trials like EPoS and NordICC. He advises on clinical equipment implementation and chairs councils for education and research governance at UiO.
Løberg’s work integrates clinical practice with public health, emphasizing evidence-based approaches to improve healthcare systems and patient outcomes.
