Magna Dias, MD, is Professor of Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine, serving as Regional Medical Director for Pediatric Inpatient Services at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital and Chair of Pediatrics at Bridgeport Hospital. She has over 20 years of experience in pediatric hospital medicine, including founding the pediatric urgent care network at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and serving as Past President of the Society for Pediatric Urgent Care.
Education:
Dr. Dias earned a BA from New York University (1992), an MD from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine (1996), completed an internship at Emory University (1997), and a residency at the University of Washington (1999).
Research Interests:
Her work focuses on quality improvement in pediatric care, including projects on bronchiolitis management, postpartum depression screening, safe sleep education, BRUE pathway implementation, and COVID-19 impacts on pediatric healthcare systems. She emphasizes reducing unnecessary interventions and enhancing patient education.
Publications:
Her research spans pediatric infectious diseases, public health advocacy, and immunization education, with publications in Clinical Pediatrics and Contemporary Pediatrics. Articles consistently address practical interventions to improve child health outcomes.
