Dr. Heather Collette is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine and a pediatric hospitalist at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital, and Lawrence + Memorial Hospital. Her roles include Director of Pediatric Sub-Internship, Director of Teaching Optimization in Pediatrics, and Associate Director of the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship. She holds a Master’s in Medical Education (MHS) from Yale University and focuses on leveraging technology to enhance medical education and optimizing healthcare billing practices.

Research & Interests: Dr. Collette’s work centers on pediatric hospital medicine, medical education, and healthcare reimbursement optimization. She co-chairs the AAP Community Pediatric Hospital Medicine Finance Committee and co-directs Yale’s Documentation Optimization Committee. Her research explores improving patient/family experiences during hospital rounds and refining resident teaching tools.
