Maggie Ying Jiang is a tenured Associate Professor in Media and Communication at the University of Western Australia (UWA), affiliated with the School of Social Sciences. She holds a PhD from the University of Adelaide and an MA in International Studies from Birmingham University. Her research focuses on cross-cultural communication, social media dynamics, public relations, cyber-nationalism, and consumer nationalism in China. She has published extensively on platforms like Weibo's role in public diplomacy and media effects.

Research Interests: Jiang's work explores the intersection of technology and cross-cultural communication, particularly in Chinese contexts. Her recent projects include digital transnationalism in Chinese-language media and consumer nationalism's impact on multinational enterprises.
