Maggie Simone is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at the State University of New York at Oswego, specializing in Magazine Journalism, Humor Writing, and Media Studies.

Her research and creative work focus on blending personal narrative with social commentary through humor, particularly in contexts of mental health, aging, and family dynamics. Publications include explorations of OCD and addiction recovery (Body Punishment, 2015), social media's role in documenting life transitions (Parenting, Pets and Menopause, 2013), and a column anthology addressing gender and work-life balance (From Beer to Maternity, 2009).
