James Dunagan

James Dunagan is an Adjunct Professor at SUNY Oswego's College of Business and Entrepreneurship, Department of Communication Studies. He joined the faculty in 2018 after a 28-year career as a radio on-air talent in Syracuse, Seattle, and other Western US cities. His teaching focuses on strategic communication in business, leveraging media expertise to help students craft effective messages.

Education: BBA in Business and Technology Management (SUNY Delhi); MA in Human-Computer Interaction and MA in Strategic Communication (SUNY Oswego); Ed.D in Learning Design and Leadership (University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana).

Research interests bridge media studies, educational theory, and technology. Recent work includes analyzing conspiracy theories' public pedagogy (2022) and touchscreen interaction design (2016). Office hours: Tues/Thurs 11:00-12:30pm. Courses include Strategic Communication in Business (COM 211).
