Dr. Maged Elkashlan is a Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London, affiliated with the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science. His research focuses on cooperative communication, MIMO systems, cognitive radio, wireless security, millimeter wave communications, and 5G technologies. He leads projects such as the Sensing and Security for Smart IoT (funded by the British Council) and MiMiWaveS (funded by EPSRC). His work emphasizes reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), FAS (Fluid Antenna Systems), and symbiotic backscatter communication. He contributes to the Centre for Networks, Communications and Systems, advancing 6G research and applications.
Research Interests: His areas include secure wireless systems, massive MIMO, and smart IoT networks. Recent publications explore RIS-aided localization, NOMA systems, and privacy-preserving wireless sensing. He collaborates on grants addressing mmWave communication challenges and IoT security. His work bridges theoretical advancements with practical implementations in emerging communication technologies.
