Magdelín Montenegro

Magdelín Montenegro is a Part-Time Instructor of Spanish within Syracuse University's Department of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics, affiliated with Spanish Language Literature and Culture. She has taught basic and intermediate Spanish courses at SU since 2000, with prior positions at LeMoyne College, Cazenovia College, and Venezuela's Carabobo University.

Her research examines:

• Historical migration trajectories of US Latino populations
• Socioeconomic integration patterns and settlement geography
• Legal frameworks for minority communities
• Multicultural policy impacts

Education includes a current PhD candidacy in Social Science at Syracuse University, an MA in International Relations (Syracuse, 1997), and an MA in Public Administration (Syracuse, 1996). Professional experience encompasses research roles at the Maxwell School's Environmental Finance Center (1998-2000).
