Magdalena Musiał-Karg

Magdalena Musiał-Karg is a full Professor of Political Science at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland, affiliated with the Department of Political Systems within the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism. She currently serves as Vice-Dean for Research and Scientific Cooperation and previously held the position of Vice-Dean for Research and Development (2016-2020). Her extensive affiliations include presidency of the Polish Political Science Association, vice-chairmanship of IPSA's Research Committee on Political Communication, and leadership of the Center for European Research and Education.

Her research examines:

• Digital transformations in democracy (e-voting, electronic participation)
• Political communication and alternative voting systems
• Gender studies focusing on women in public spaces
• Cross-border cooperation in the Polish-German region

Notable recognitions include:

• 3-year stipend for distinguished scientists (Polish Ministry of Science, 2014)
• Europa Fellows II scholarship (German Federal Ministry, 2003-2006)
• KAAD Osteuropa Programme scholarship (2007)

She coordinates the Helvetic Initiative Research Group and founded the IPSA-Poznań Summer School. Her international engagement includes visiting professorships across seven countries, demonstrating significant global academic collaboration.
