Magdalena Kirsch

Magdalena Kirsch is a Research Associate at the Institute of Political Science, Justus Liebig University Giessen. She is currently working on the HMFK project Negotiations of Gender in the Discourse on Civic Education and Political Education in the German Empire and the Weimar Republic. Her research bridges historical and theoretical analyses of gender, education, and political theory.

• Education: MA in Political Theory (Goethe University Frankfurt/TU Darmstadt), BA in Political Science (University of Tübingen), with study abroad at National Chengchi University (Taipei) and Sciences Po (Paris).

Research Interests include feminist political theory, critical theory, historical educational research, gender studies, and utopian studies. Her work examines intersections of gender, political education, and societal cohesion in historical contexts.
