Magali Danner is a Lecturer in Educational Sciences at the Teaching, Education and Training Professions Department of the National Higher Institute of Teaching and Education (INSPÉ) at University of Burgundy. She currently serves as Head of the 2nd year Master's in Educational Sciences with a Professional Path in Management and Evaluation in Educational Systems, which operates under an agreement with the International Institute for Educational Planning (IIPE-UNESCO).
Her research focuses on professionalization, integration, careers, and training-employment links, with three main axes: differentiation and professionalization of courses (examining institutional arrangements), insertion and training-employment links (particularly focusing on NEET youth and vocational pathway graduates), and conditions of access, exercise, and careers in education professions. Her work demonstrates a strong emphasis on social inequalities, gender dimensions, and longitudinal analysis of educational trajectories.
Danner's publication record shows consistent scholarly output since 2008, with particular intensity in recent years (2020-2025). Her research demonstrates interdisciplinary approaches combining educational sciences, sociology, and labor market analysis, with a growing focus on comparative studies (particularly France-UK). The publications reveal evolving interests from specific professional insertion studies toward broader systemic analyses of educational pathways and equity issues.
Professionally, Danner has held significant administrative responsibilities since 2009, including leadership of Master's programs, participation in university governance committees, and national service on the National University Commission (CNU). She maintains active research collaborations through her associate researcher position at CEREQ (Centre d'Études et de Recherches sur les Qualifications) since 2015.
