معرفی
Dr. Madusha Perera is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) within the School of Biomedical Sciences. She is affiliated with the Centre for Biomedical Technologies and the Tissue Repair and Translational Physiology (TRTP) Group, working under the supervision of Associate Professor Tony Parker.
Her research focuses on identifying molecular biomarkers in various biofluids that indicate physical and cognitive performance under stress. She leads work on the 'Mind and Body Performance Patch' project, which aims to enhance warfighter readiness and public health through innovative diagnostic tools and wearable technology. Her expertise spans molecular and cell biology, biomarker discovery, microbiome analysis, and non-invasive diagnostic approaches.
Dr. Perera's recent publications reveal her specialized work in multi-omics approaches to stress response, salivary biomarkers for performance prediction, and antimicrobial research. Her research integrates biological, cognitive, and physical factors to develop early stress detection systems with applications in military and high-pressure work environments.
She is a member of the Australian Society for Medical Research and the American Society of Human Genetics.
Dr. Perera earned her PhD from Queensland University of Technology and continues to advance biomedical technologies through her research at QUT.
