Madeline McMahon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at The University of Texas at Austin's College of Liberal Arts, specializing in early modern European intellectual, cultural, and religious history (ca. 1450–1800).
Education:

Her research examines knowledge production through book history, material culture, and religious institutions, particularly bishops' households during Italy's Catholic Reformation. Current work analyzes manuscripts, print culture, and palace artifacts to reveal how ecclesiastical authorities navigated contested administrative roles post-Tridentine.
