Madeline L Nyblade is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Studies at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF). Her work focuses on Indigenous environmental justice, climate change impacts, and collaborative research methodologies with tribal communities. She holds a PhD in Earth and Environmental Science from the University of Minnesota and a BS in Geoscience from Penn State University.

Key research themes include climate-driven changes in tribal resource availability, water justice, and the restoration of culturally significant ecosystems like wild rice (manoomin) habitats. Her recent publications highlight the decline of off-reservation tribal harvests and the need for decolonized environmental policies.
