Madeline June Kass is a Visiting Professor and Distinguished Scholar in Residence at Seattle University School of Law, where she advises the Seattle Journal of Technology, Environment, and Innovation Law and the Seattle Environmental Law Society. She also teaches in the Interdisciplinary Approaches to Climate Change master’s program at the University of Milan.

Research and Teaching Interests focus on environmental and natural resources law, torts, and comparative legal frameworks. She has designed courses on Environmental Law, Natural Resources Law, Wildlife & Marine Life Law, and Comparative US/EU Environmental Law, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches and scholarly legal writing.
Scientific Awards and Honors:
- 2019 Fulbright recipient
Professional Involvement includes leadership roles in the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Environment, Energy & Resources (SEER), co-chairing the Law School ELS Network Taskforce, and membership in the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law. She also served on the Washington State Board of Bar Examiners and QLaw committees.
