Madeline Jazz Harvey is an Associate Professor of Dance at Colorado State University, specializing in classical and contemporary ballet. She holds a BA in Dance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and an MFA in Choreography from Jacksonville University. Her roles include educator, choreographer, performer, and researcher. She has served as a principal dancer, resident choreographer, and outreach coordinator with Carolina Ballet Theatre, and has collaborated with artists and institutions nationwide.

Research Interests: Her work focuses on choreographic processes rooted in play, dance as a tool for health (e.g., ShapeX wellness program for children with Type II Diabetes), and the intersection of parenting and emotional well-being through dance. She leads the Movement Through Parenthood study, examining dance interventions for pregnancy and postpartum health. Her creative research includes over 50 original choreographic works featured in festivals and collaborations with composers, visual artists, and communities.
